Pay: $20 – 24 / Hour
Type: Full-Time
Location: 1045 Harts Lake Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037 (On Site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 Hour Shift (6:30AM – 3:00PM)

General Description

The production Team Lead supervises the daily activities of a specific production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Team Lead’s also coordinate work schedules,
staffing requirement and producation sequences to maximize productivity.

  • Establish team goals that align with the organizational goals and business needs. Work with scheduling team to find a true daily average for area.
  • Lead the activities of all personnel related to daily numbers, scrap activities and any open issues supporting the team’s success against established metrics.
  • Coordinate, drive and assist in the prioritization of daily activities to meet production goals and ensure daily numbers are hit.
  • Analyze/investigate production issues, and work with the team to investigate trends, conduct root cause analysis and recommend and implement corrective actions for processes.
  • Prepare a daily plan for the following day of production.
  • Lead team in stretching in the morning and afternoon to help prevent injury. Also, strive to make all work cells/stations to be ergonomically friendly.
  • Clean and organize area daily.
  • Review BOMs and Routes with team including engineering when issues need correcting.
  • Update Operations Management to support operational success.
  • Coach others on procedures, teamwork, etc, and lead by example, exemplify positive behavior.
  • Identify opportunities and implement productivity improvements.
  • Assist in the training of new personnel, as required.
  • Employee’s yearly reviews for personnel that are assigned to you.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • 2-3 years of previous leadership / supervisory.
  • Must have exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and organized.

Education and Skill Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training or certificate is helpful
